Appointments are an important part of your treatment plan, and this time has been reserved specifically for you to talk with the doctor and receive treatment.

Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are more than 10 minutes late, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment.

We request a 48-hour notice if you need to cancel your appointment. We are aware that unforeseen events sometimes require missing an appointment, and we appreciate your cooperation.

Oral Hygiene will be monitored throughout treatment. A grade will be given at chairside during each adjustment:

E=Excellent

G=Good

F=Fair

P=Poor.

If necessary, recommendations will be made for improvement.

Even while under the care of an orthodontist, it is essential to continue to see a regular dentist every 3 -6 months during treatment.

How do we transfer treatment to EMBRACE Orthodontics?

We welcome transfer patients to our office! The fee for treatment depends upon the stage of treatment the patient is in, and it can’t be determined until you are seen for an evaluation by our doctor. If you are transferring from another state or out of our local area, please be sure you have completed all transfer out forms at your previous orthodontist. We will need their name and phone number to call for your records so that we will have them in time for your first visit.

Patients who are currently in treatment at another local orthodontist who desire to transfer treatment to Grayson Orthodontics will be charged the records fee prior to the consultation with our doctor. This payment must be made in cash or by credit card. A request for transfer should be completed and records sent to our office prior to the first adjustment appointment.

What happens if we move during care?

Changing orthodontists during treatment requires additional planning. We will help you make the transition go as smoothly as possible. With the help of a national directory, we can give you a recommendation for an orthodontist in the town or city to which you are moving.

Insurance Policy

If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. Many insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance. Insurance policies vary, so please review your insurance plan to determine the appropriate course of action.

We accept assignment from most insurance plans and will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf. Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, the financially responsible party is accountable for all charges.
